Becoming part of EdUcAntwerp is open to young people, youth workers, professionals, organizations, and volunteers who want to grow, connect, and contribute. There are different ways to get involved, depending on who you are and what you are looking for.

Young people who want to participate in Youth Exchanges or European Solidarity Corps projects can contact us directly for information about upcoming opportunities. We provide personal guidance throughout the whole process, from your first questions to your actual participation. No previous experience is required we are here to help you take your first steps into international youth work. Register on our contact page. 

Youth workers, trainers, coaches, and professionals interested in training courses, seminars, study visits, or networking projects can register for one of our ongoing projects. We also welcome professionals who want to contribute as trainers, facilitators, or mentors in our activities or for giving workshops. Contact our coordination team to explore the available programmes.

Organizations interested in partnership can contact us to explore collaboration opportunities under Erasmus+ KA1 or KA2, as well as European Solidarity Corps projects. We are always open to developing new strategic partnerships, joint project proposals, and long-term cooperation.

Volunteers who would like to support our work locally or internationally are warmly invited to reach out. There are multiple roles for volunteers in project assistance, youth mentoring, logistics, event facilitation, and community engagement.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need experience to participate in an EdUcAntwerp project?

For most youth projects, no prior experience is required. They are open to motivated young people and first-time participants. However, certain training courses or professional programmes for youth workers may require relevant field experience to ensure the content matches participants’ backgrounds. We always clearly indicate when specific experience is necessary.

Is knowledge of English necessary?

Most international projects use English as a working language. However, we provide support, translation if needed, and create inclusive environments where language is never a barrier to participation.

What is the age limit for participation?

Youth projects are generally open to young people between 16 and 30 years old. Professional trainings and mobility are open to youth workers and professionals from 18 years onwards.

How can organizations become a partner of EdUcAntwerp?

Organizations can contact us directly to explore Erasmus+ partnerships, joint applications, or cooperation opportunities under KA1, KA2 or European Solidarity Corps projects.

Are there costs involved to participate?

Most Erasmus+ projects are largely cost-free for participants. Travel, accommodation, meals, and all official activity costs are fully covered. Participants only cover personal expenses such as additional food purchases (if choosing not to join group meals), souvenirs, extra activities outside the programme, or personal shopping. Any small participation fee is clearly communicated in advance if applicable.

Can I volunteer locally at EdUcAntwerp?

Yes. We welcome volunteers to support various aspects of our local work, including project assistance, mentoring, logistics, and community engagement.

Can I develop my own project idea with EdUcAntwerp?

Absolutely. We support young people and organizations in developing new project ideas and can help guide you through the application and implementation process.

What kind of topics does EdUcAntwerp focus on?

Our work includes a wide range of topics such as sport for development, inclusion, culture & religion, mental health, competence building, digital skills, youth leadership, intercultural dialogue, resilience, and many more.

Are there opportunities for professionals to get involved more long-term?

Yes. We regularly involve youth workers and professionals in multiple projects and offer possibilities for long-term cooperation, training delivery, and partnership development.

Can international professionals or organizations also contact EdUcAntwerp?

Absolutely. We work with partners from over 35 countries and welcome new international cooperation opportunities within Erasmus+ and beyond.

Can I apply even if I have never travelled before?

Yes. Many of our participants travel abroad for the first time through our projects. We guide you step by step, from preparation to returning home.

Do I need a specific diploma or education level?

No. Our projects focus on motivation and personal development. Your educational background is not a limiting factor.

What happens if I feel unsure or nervous before participating?

That is very normal. Our team offers preparation sessions, information meetings, and personal coaching before departure. You are never alone in the process.

What if I have fewer financial means or special needs?

We believe that everyone should have access to international experiences, regardless of financial situation or personal circumstances. Additional support can often be arranged for participants with fewer opportunities or specific needs. We always look for solutions together to make participation possible and accessible for everyone.
