Projects

Since 2019, EdUcAntwerp has actively developed and participated in a wide range of projects under Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps. Over the years, we have coordinated, hosted, and partnered in numerous Youth Exchanges, Training Courses, Study Visits, Strategic Partnerships (KA2), and smaller local and international initiatives. The diversity of topics and collaborations reflects our continuous commitment to youth empowerment, inclusion, innovation, and cross-border cooperation. It is impossible to list all projects here, but below you will find a selection of some projects and ongoing projects that represent our work.

The Power of Sportsmanship

A training course that focuses on recognising and preventing radicalisation among young people in the sports environment. Coaches, youth workers and volunteers learn how sport can be a powerful tool to build positive values, strengthen resilience and create an inclusive atmosphere where every young person feels safe and respected.

The programme explores how early warning signs of radicalisation can appear in youth groups and how professionals in sport can respond in a constructive and supportive way. Through practical workshops, case studies and discussions, participants develop skills to address sensitive topics, encourage dialogue and guide young people towards healthy role models and positive behaviours.

Sportsmanship becomes more than fair play. It becomes a method to protect young people from harmful influences, promote teamwork, and foster trust and belonging on and off the field. The training empowers frontline actors in sport to make a real difference and contribute to stronger, more connected communities.

Keeping Up With Your Roots: Morocco Edition

An intercultural youth exchange that connects young people of Moroccan heritage growing up in different European countries. Although they share the same cultural roots, their daily lives and experiences can be very different. During the exchange, they explore their identity together: what it means to have Moroccan roots, how culture is carried across generations, and how they balance their background with life in Europe.

Through group activities, creative workshops, storytelling, and encounters with the local community, participants discover similarities and differences in their personal journeys. They learn more about where they come from, build confidence in who they are today, and develop a deeper understanding of each other.

The programme encourages open dialogue, self-expression and respect, helping young people break stereotypes and form strong connections. By celebrating heritage and embracing diversity, the exchange empowers youth to become proud of their identity and to act as bridge builders between cultures in their own communities.

Sports and Resilience (Belgium)

Participants learn how physical activity, teamwork and supportive coaching can strengthen confidence, reduce stress and help them deal with challenges in daily life. Through practical sessions, reflection and shared experiences, they explore how sport can become a safe space where youth feel seen, connected and motivated to grow.

The exchange brings together young people from different backgrounds who may struggle with exclusion, discrimination or limited opportunities. By learning from each other and trying new sport methods, they discover positive ways to build resilience, set personal goals and support their peers. The programme encourages openness, mutual understanding and active participation.

A follow-up activity will take place in Albania, where participants continue developing the methods they experienced and share them with local youth. This second phase strengthens the long-term impact of the exchange and empowers young people to put resilience skills into practice within their own communities.

You get the space to experiment, learn from experience and grow at your own pace. You build skills that are useful at school, at home, in the neighbourhood and later in work. This helps you stand stronger against temptations, see positive alternatives and dare to make future plans again.

ATIS TIRMA

A youth exchange empowering young participants to take full ownership of project design and implementation. For an entire year, Belgian and Spanish youth worked together, taking the lead in every step of the process. Starting from scratch, they were challenged to plan, organise, budget and deliver all activities themselves, learning what it takes to turn an idea into a real project.

Throughout the journey, they developed strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills, while learning how to manage responsibilities, make decisions and solve problems as a group. The programme encouraged entrepreneurial thinking and active citizenship, showing young people that they are capable of shaping their own initiatives and creating positive change in their communities.

The final stage of the project brought everyone together in Málaga, where the youth executed the exchange they had designed. This hands-on experience in youth-led project management boosted their confidence and proved that, with the right support, young people can take the lead and see their ambitions take flight.
