"EdUc introduced us to the fascinating world of international projects. Their approach is accessible, no-nonsense, and focused on real impact. By now, we have found our own way, but EdUc remains the ideal sparring partner for us whenever we have questions or new ideas."

"“We shouldn’t learn to tolerate diversity, we should celebrate it!” It was one of the quotes from our European project. A project where a group of 30 youth workers from Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Tenerife became a group of friends who are still in contact today. The positive energy, wishing each other the best and lifting each other up, is something that will stay with me forever.
Sport has the power to change the world. People have the power to change the world."

"The youth exchanges I participated in were incredibly enriching experiences! It was amazing to meet young people from different countries and work together on important topics. I learned so much about other cultures, communication, and working in an international group. Every day brought new insights, both about the world and about myself. The workshops and activities were not only educational but also a lot of fun. This experience has broadened my horizons and boosted my self-confidence. I am extremely grateful that I was able to take part and I can highly recommend it to everyone! :)"

"My first exchange project to Gran Canaria together with my two best friends was truly an unforgettable experience. In the beginning, we were a bit shy and quiet; everything was new and super exciting. But from day two, when everyone had arrived and the group was complete, we immediately clicked with the other participants from the different countries. We said to each other: “We’re going to make this an amazing exchange.” And we really did. The sessions were mainly about finding a job and how to apply in the best way. We received so many useful tips and tricks that really helped me. I had been looking for a job for months, and thanks to this exchange I found one much faster. It felt strange to step out of my comfort zone like that, but that’s exactly what made it so educational. All in all, it was just a great experience. Thank you Khadija! Truly something I will never forget."

"Thanks to EdUc, I got the chance as a starting student to join an exchange as a youth leader, accompanying a group of young people from Antwerp to beautiful, sunny Spain. It became an unforgettable experience where my passion for working with youth truly started to grow. I returned to Belgium with a backpack full of new insights, experiences, and friendships. In the following years, I continued to develop myself as a social worker. A few years later, I had the opportunity to join another exchange, this time in my own country. There, I learned valuable methods and techniques to support young people in a strong and positive way. In short: these exchanges have shaped me into the passionate and committed professional I am today."

"This summer, I took part in CuReHa, a project about culture and religion. It was an unforgettable experience where I learned not only about the topic, but also about myself. I met amazing people, some of whom became true lifelong friends. The international aspect of the project made it even more special. CuReHa brought us together from different backgrounds and helped us grow in understanding, connection, and respect."

"My time in Norway was an unforgettable experience, filled with breathtaking nature and warm hospitality. I improved my skills and built meaningful friendships while stepping out of my comfort zone. This unique opportunity enriched my perspective on the world and inspired me to encourage others to take part in similar projects!"

"I found it to be a very educational experience, something enriching within what you do on a daily basis in your professional field. It takes you out of your comfort zone, but it is so connecting that you always return home and to your organization or project with new insights, ideas, tools, and new contacts or networks."
Robbe
"Where different cultures, beliefs, and life stories come together, the most meaningful insights are born. Educ brought all those worlds into one place, a place where I didn’t just get to know others, but also learnt to be in a community with them. This experience, I will always cherish."

"Through these exchanges, I gained valuable skills for both my personal and professional development. In Gran Canaria, I learned how to present myself better on the job market and built confidence by working with young people from different countries. In North Macedonia, I developed practical digital skills and tools to strengthen virtual projects, enjoying the mix of technology and teamwork. In Cyprus, I discovered how sports can be a powerful tool for social inclusion, learning how to guide young people through intercultural activities. These experiences have truly broadened my perspective and enriched my skills."

"Hey everyone! It was an experience I will never forget. I met so many new people and learned to understand myself better. The project really pushed me out of my comfort zone. It gave me confidence that I still carry with me every day. What stays with me most is the warmth and sense of connection. Everyone felt welcome, and that made it special. New friends, new insights, and above all: lots of fun! The exchange opened my eyes to other cultures. I grew as a person and created memories for a lifetime."

"Hello, my name is Randy. I work as a volunteer at City Pirates; I am a coach and sometimes I also help with small tasks. My first experience with a European project was in April 2024, and since then my love for projects in Europe has only grown. I had an amazing group, and it was great to share this with my two colleagues (Choice and Samuel). I have grown a lot in my social development, I had to speak English, I learned how to talk to people and get to know them better. Now I would love to gain experience with EdUc Antwerp as well. I am motivated and ready for more adventures in Europe!"

"In September 2024, I went to Croatia with EducAntwerp for the AndPeriod project! This exchange focused on period poverty and menstrual wellbeing, a topic that really interests me. We discussed taboos, the process, society’s current view, and what we still want to change! As a youth worker, I also received many tools during the course that I can definitely use in the field! Besides the course content, I really appreciated that EducAntwerp arranged all the transport, meals, and accommodation! This allowed us to participate without worries and focus fully on the sessions while also building beautiful friendships!I can highly recommend everyone to join an exchange with EducAntwerp! Not only because it’s a lot of fun, but also because it truly enriches your knowledge by exposing you to different perspectives from various countries and cultures!"

Just one more thing: Go on a project! Learn and connect with others."

"In October 2024, I went to Norway for an exchange with the theme “Villains and Heroes.” I made beautiful memories and had the chance to meet new friends. We stayed on a deserted island where only a few goats were wandering around. From the highest point, we could watch the most stunning sunsets. This experience really made me reflect on my role as a role model, especially in my work with young people. What I have learned here will definitely help me in my work as a social worker."
Josy
"I recommend everyone (both young people and professionals) to participate in the exchanges and trainings of EducAntwerp. It not only helped me grow as an individual, but also as a young changemaker. Step out of your comfort zone and trust the process ;)"
